If you were a child of of the late 70s or early 80s, you will definitely have fond memories of the 5p packs of candy cigarettes sold at the time. In the end, Michael Ballack's fitness and Cesc Fabregas' inclusion mattered little. Step forward Fernando Torres. It was the one they called 'El Niño' that stole the show. An act of class from the 24 year old to end Spain's 44 year-wait for international glory. Quite simply, the best team have won the tournament, and you can't say fairer than that. Congrats Spain!! What a great tournament and what a fitting climax to a brilliant football season, showcasing exactly why we all love this beautiful game.
